AGARTALA, Aug 22 (TIWN): One day after former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram was arrested, in Tripura’s heavyweight Marxist leader, former Finance, PWD Minister Badal Choudhury has been summoned by vigilance team today.

Earlier on August 5, he was called by CID in Flyover construction works. 

On being asked by media, Badal Choudhury said that such interrogations show that CPI-M Govt did lots of developmental works and that’s the reason they are calling the former Minister.

“Not only 850 crores, we did lots of building-construction and developmental works, so they can ask anything, but all of a sudden they raised the issue today for which I was not prepared. I asked them to contact the officials of that time. They asked my help. Ofcourse I will help at my best but under law and system”, Badal Choudhury told media. 

The interrogation was done by Jerema Darlong, Deputy SP, Vigilance.
