AGARTALA, Aug 21 (TIWN): Preparations for Krishna Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, is going on across Tripura with full enthusiasm.

August 24 will mark this year Janmastami festival. TIWN visited Jagannath Bari in Agartala and preparations were seen on peak on those places too.

Still devotees are preparing for Janmastami with full dedication.

Janmastami commemorates the earthly appearance of Krishna, who is described in India’s sacred writings as God himself.

One of the biggest religious festivals in the world, it is celebrated by nine hundred and thirty million people around the world.
