Agartala, Aug 19 (TIWN): On the 111th Birth anniversary celebration program in Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday said “Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore was ‘Bir’ (brave) as well as ‘Bikram’ (valour) as his name was. The late Maharaja was not a man of excuses but he brought a revolutionary change in Tripura. He built airport, brought banks, opened schools and colleges, specially even after being a hindu himself, he built a Budha Mandir. He was a man of substance.â€
He continued, “Maharaja dreamt of a modern, model Tripura. Likewise, this new government is also trying to achieve this goal. Earlier the tax revenue of the state was 9.8%, now after the new government arrived it has increased to 26%. CD ratio was earlier 49% now it has increased to 66%. The state’s GDP is increasing. Our state is not falling back. Those who made excuses, their mentality was orthodox and fallen back.”
He pointed about the Data being inappropriate in employment exchange, that even after the death of the person, the data shows his name in unemployed list. “The datas need to be clean and transparent.”, he said.
He then shared about his conversation with the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for exporting the state’s tea to the country. He also announced about the job openings for 2000 posts for TSR, 100 stenographers and 50 TCS, TPS. “Now people do not have to rally anymore!”, he pointed.
Regarding the recent chain snatching incidents , Chief minister said that the snatchers do this kind of act not for looking after their family but to suit their addiction needs, and this 17 months government has enforced strict 7 years of imprisonment for them. The Chief Minister concluded with a mantra ,”Sabka sath sabka vikas, Sabka sath sabka vishwas” and asked to learn from the great Maharaja ,keep strong mind and modern thinking and not to be an emotional victim .
