AGARTALA, Aug 14 (TIWN): Agartala-Delhi direct flights has been started from today. Chief Minister Biplab Deb along with dignitaries have flagged off the flight at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport.
The much awaited flight service’s process was started during Suresh Prabhu's tenure under the cabinet and due to CM’s continuous follow-ups it started in reality.
The flight number is 6E 2047 Delhi-Agartala 12.50 (dept), 15,10 (arrival).This may help to reduce ongoing flight crisis in Tripura.
With the initiatives of Chief Minister Biplab Deb transport connectivity in all ways will likely to be expanded soon under PM Modi’s vision laid for Tripura ‘HIRA’ for which the State Govt is drawing road-maps and also started working in all sectors.
Amid ongoing flight crisis due to decline of SpiceJet business, Tripura passengers have also been affected for a long period of time due to flight fares and ticket crisis.
However, during Suresh Prabhu’s Civil Aviation dept in the first Modi ministry the process of Delhi-Agartala flight service started after various requests were sent from the CM office in Tripura.
Today, finally the requests, followups resulted as Delhi-Agartala flight service is started from today, 2019 by Indigo Airlines, one day ahead of Independence Day.
