BISHALGARH, Aug 12 (TIWN): Not only in Agartala’s two power stations but in Bisahalgarh sub-division also same happened on yesterday night after long-load shedding which has injured a TSECL staffs minorly. Also office properties were damaged due to mob-anger followed by hour-long load-shedding problems. The situation has gone so much out of control that securities had to be beefed up in the Power House. Also a case was filed in the police station against the ‘undemocratic’ way of protest. Why suddenly all the people across Tripura went out of control it has triggered question. Power Dept Minister is Jishnu Deb Barman, who is also the Deputy CM. So far no statement has come from the Power Dept. The mob protest was turning into mob-violence as suddenly turned the situation out of control. Police said, now the situation is better whereas Govt properties as telephones and other furniture’s damage was condemned by TSECL. The staffs have demanded security.

The cause of massive load-shedding has been transformer related matters according to Power Dept.

In Agartala also same thing happened, when on yesterday two power houses were attacked massively at Ram Nagar and in IGM.

On Sunday night followed by massive load-shedding and nonfunctional telephonic helplines, people of Agartala came in heavy protest and also vandalized the offices in Ramnagar and certain protests were staged in the IGM area. However, when congratulations are deserved for the protest, the damage of Govt properties could be avoided as these are public-properties, made out of public taxes.

They also broke furniture inside the police station as few law and order problems allegedly emerged due to load-shedding. Reportedly such long power cut didn’t happen in last 10 to 12 years.
