AGARTALA, Aug 9 (TIWN): Preparation for Independence day started in Tripura and garment business centering the programme is going peak. Also security has been tightened across the state.
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has stepped up security at all airports and airstrips in the country ahead of Independence Day in view of the threat alerts received by security agencies.
The airport safety watchdog has said in an alert to various airports that no visitor passes will be issued from 10 August to 20 August.
Specially school students now are busy in dance rehearsals for the upcoming programmes.
Like previous years, this year, Independence Day will be celebrated for three days in Tripura. Total three days to mark the celebration this year (August 13 to August 15).
Various programmes to be conducted on these four days as : 1) Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, 2) Marathon, 3) Torch Run, 4) Football match, 5) Swimming competition, 6) Yoga, 7) Cultural Programme.
