AGARTALA, Aug 8 (TIWN): On being asked by several people to react on the removal of Article 370 from J&K, Tripurainfowya.com (TIWN): Editor Saumen Sarkar has congratulated the Modi Govt on this particular ground.Even though there are various ideological differences of the Editor with the BJP Govt, but in case of abolishing Article 370 & splitting J&K, he said it was one of the greatest decisions by Modi Govt,“Abolishing Article 370 & integrating J&K with rest of India was much due process, it should have been done 50 years back. J&K young generation need to integrate with rest of India. This decision will improve infrastructure to investments, overall it will help young generation. Older generation always preferred to sandwich themselves politically between India & Pakistan so that they were showered with personal benefitsâ€, the Editor said.
“I have witnessed Kashmiri Pandits sufferings during my Engineering student life in South India, after REC Srinagar was shut down by Militants, then all Kashmiri, non-Kasmiri students were distributed among other RECs (now NITs) across India, unbearable hardships, exams cancelled, so much of miseries. Kashmiri Pandits were rooted out from their villages by force; for over 60 to 70 yrs, Kashmir’s communal leadership & Jihadi Militants cleansed Hindu Pandits from their centuries old ancestral lands. Kashmiri Pandits became refugees in their own country India. So this action on J&K was a natural outcome, after all, India as a country cannot be always at receiving end, it has to establish its nationalism”, Sarkar said.
It can mentioned here, Home Minister Amit Shah in the Parliament accepted all the allegations and sidelining all charges, mentioned, “Sometimes, strict decisions have to make for the welfare of the nation”.
