TSECL increased 18.8% in meter reading

AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): An increase of 18.8% in average was announced by TSECL in recording meter reading and also legalistic increase is made in distribution of bill and spot billing considering of geographical of condition of area, said TSECL MD Dr M S Kele.

“The new rates a provision up to 5% incentive for the outsourcing agency as a better performer and for under performer a penalty provision upto 10% is considered. Moreover in case of wrong reading penalty of Rs. 20 per consumer in urban areas and Rs. 10 per consumer in Rural, ADC and extreme ADC area”, said MS Kele.

TSECL has introduced new enhanced rates and claimed these benefits for the customers : 1) Accurate and proper bill generation, 2) Timely distribution of bill to each consumer, 3) Reduce the bill oriented complaints / grievances of consumers, 4) Increase efficiency in billing and collection, 5) Reduce AT and C losses.
