AGARTALA, Aug 5 (TIWN): Tripura BJP Govt turned State Police as BJP's licensed goondas against State Opposition leaders, Independent media houses with the sole draconian aim to silence the voice of opposition against various criminals, corruption. Even after RTI revealed clean-chit for Flyover construction, CID has summoned one of the cleanest, popular CPI-M leader, ex-Minister Badal Choudhury without any proper allegation. Badal Choudhury who has been undergoing special medical care due to his health issues was interrogated by CID today. Badal Choudhury is the fewest among the leading CPI-M leaders who remained as the voice of opposition in Tripura. Also all engineers who worked as CE in CPI-M Govt’s time were called by Police, CID. After interrogation, on being asked by media, Badal Choudhury said, “Those engineers are our pride. CID has asked me about Flyover in those engineers' hands".

"I told them again and again about the reports on flyover which were given by CSIR has submitted two reports on Flyover. They have gone through the report which has given a clean report. Three Chief Engineers also submitted reports. In 1949 our state was merged with India and we formed Govt in 1998 under Manik Sarkar. From 1949 to 1998 can you show us any landmark which can be compared to our 20 years achievement ?”, said Choudhury.

“Whatever we did in 20 years including Secretariat, New Governor House, Assembly, High Court, Pragna Bhawan, Colleges, University, Indoor stadium these are landmarks under CPI-M Govt and hundred years people of Tripura will remember them. Engineers day night worked hard to given them shape”, Badal Choudhury told media.

“Those engineers like Sunil Bhowmik who took retirement before 5 years they are now being haunted”, he said.

On July 21^st, Badal Choudhury holding a press meet had revealed RTI report on flyover.

The RTI had revealed that reports on Agartala’s unopened flyover is very positive and this flyover is technically and structurally stable, said former PWD Minister Badal Chaudhury, slamming the BJP Govt for not opening flyover and continuously blaming CPI-M Govt for ‘unknown’ corruption.

The former PWD Minister stated, “We accept that flyover work was not completed in our regime 100%, but in 2 months it can be completed as maximum part of the flyover was completed. But BJP Govt has not gone in that direction, rather started making people afraid saying that anytime any accident may happen if the flyover is opened. Then, the Govt handed over it to CSIR, CRRA which are now same organizationS under central Govt On 21st July, 2018 subjected to structural safety and safety audit report, but the report came in favour of flyover construction”.

Badal Choudhury was raising question why Govt is not opening the flyover even though State Govt has not given any brief where the corruption was actually found, whether the flyover can be opened or not. 

BJP Govt earlier put many journalists in problems, few under bar, even massive attacks on TIWN and Editor's parents. Recently former BJP Vice President Subal Bhowmik was questioned by police but all proven just to supress the voice of opposition and media.
