AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): Tripura's massive malaria outbreaks sounding alarming bells. Aimed to control the numbers of malaria deaths, Govt of Tripura has taken certain initiatives, specially the Dhalai District administration has sounded alerts in many areas and time to time taking reports of the ongoing. Numbers of malaria deaths has been claimed one till 22nd June, 2019 this year. Bran Mala Tripura, D/O-Bali Tripura, resident of Wadukchara died in malaria. On 21st July a meeting was held in the district to find out the route cayuse of malaria disease every year in Tripura.As directed by the Govt of Tripura mass screenings of 5 academic blocks of the district have started already and 23 vacant seats of malaria volunteers have been filled up for better treatment.

One of the route cause was identified as “Transportation in remote locations is difficult and most of the ASHAs are not staying at their place of engagement, even after efforts of replacing non-performers. Total 13 vehicles have been provided in various areas for emergency service”. Govt said that enough medicines have been provided in Govt hospitals. 

Under-nourishment is also one of the chief reasons of malaria deaths and thus Govt has focused on the proper diet of the children and feeding.

“The ‘Rogi Kalyan Samitis’ (RKS) of academic blocks are also directed to take decision in their Governing body meeting to additionally incentivize malaria volunteers by giving matching shares of RKS funds. Therefor they will receive double incentivize for their work”, an official statement said.

Reacting over the news items published against Govt of Tripura on malaria issue, a statement was issued saying, massive blood sample collection, health camps are being conducted. From January to May 1, 86, 768 people’s blood samples were tested and 2097 people were fund affected by malaria germs.
