AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): Communist leader, former CM Manik Sarkar has met attacked party workers, visited their houses at Kanchanmala on Monday.
Party activists in Kanchanmala were severely attacked after election, many people’s houses were burnt, houses were vandalized and looted, family members were physically beaten.
Manik Sarkar said, the people who are attacking opposition party workers are actually cowards and have no courage.
He also said, the attackers were sent by the ruling party and didn’t come at own will.
Sarkar also criticized Chief Minister Biplab Deb for rejecting to meet the Left front members, who wanted to meet him demanding peaceful upcoming Panchayat Election.
