AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): To mitigate the ongoing blood crisis, across Tripura blood donation drive has been started in the state.

On yesterday, in a Govt officials led programme Chief Minister Biplab Deb donated blood and appealed people to donate blood which takes only 10 minutes of time.

Biplab Deb said that the Dept will launch an annual calendar to overcome blood crisis in the state besides maintaining uniformity among major donor agencies.

Tripura is suffering from blood crisis although the state is ahead in blood donation percentage. Recently, UP CM Adityanath Yogi said that India needs to develop blood donation campaigning, but a small state like Tripura is ahead of other states in the donation trend.
