AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Tribal Welfare Minister Mebar Jamatia have flagged off ‘Run for Green Agartala’ marathon today morning in the presence of Govt officials.

The programme was conducted by Forest Dept, ONGC and other social organizations.

While addressing on the occasion Biplab Deb has appreciated the Forest Dept for its keen interest to make a ‘green state’.

He also mentioned about yesterday’s programme where massive plantation drive was conducted in Udaipur, besides national highway.

Deb added, “As we are heading towards SMART City, this plantation project is also coming under this SMART City project”.

Biplab Deb also urged all the people to cooperate the Govt to expand the greeneries in the city.
