AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): National Career Service (NCS) registration which has been made mandatory for the unemployed youths, should not be seen critically, rather the way is simple without tension of further lapses.

Govt has declared 3 ways to get into registration :

  1.     For the registration they may approach to the Model Career Centres / Career Centres (District Employment Exchanges) / EI & AB at SDM Offices.
  2.     They may also approach to the Common Service Centres (CSCs) for getting registrations.
  3.     Anybody can make a registration in the portal by himself and herself. So, the candidate may also do the registration by themselves but if authenticiation of so required, the card, they have to submit the card along with copies of all relevant documents in the model career centre / Career centres (District Employment Exchanges) / EI & AB at SDM Offices. In this way, they will be treated as job seekers/ unemployed after 1.10.2019 in the NCS portal.

Registration of job seekers has started in NCS portal since 2015, June along with the earlier system.

Registration of the job seekers in the earlier system that is Nationa Employment Service Portal has been closed 30.9.2016 vides notification of even number dated 16th September 2016.

As per instruction given in National Employment Service Manual (NESM)  that the card is valid up to 3 years after that it will be treated as lapsed, so the card issued up to 30.09.2016 will be lapsed on 1.10.2019.

In the NCS system there is no renewal system. So all the registered job seekers under earlier system would not be renewed their registration and hence the card will be treated as lapsed.

Thus, all the candidates having registered with the earlier system have to be registered in the NCS portal for getting the benefits as job seekers.
