AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, June 16 (TIWN): Amid Home Dept sounded alters across Gandachera subdivision as political violence, clashes had taken worst shape in last 38 hours, however, the situation has been brought under control by tight security. Curfew, Section-144 were imposed in the subdivision and the mobile internet service, sms had to be disconnected to stop violence instigating message. Tripura’s tension and political violence maximum times expanded due to rumours in WhatsApp, facebook led several cases on mob-lynching earlier in 2018. In this situation the Govt has warned against rumour mongering trend and trying to bring the political parties in tight control. The violence took place between none other than aligned BJP and IPFT whereas IPFT Minister Mebar Jamatia has denied the allegation, says, “Baseless”. IPFT also alleged, soon after the attack in MP's home, IPFT supporters houses were attacked. Also in social media, a section of youth IPFT earlier alleged that during a rally BJP created violence.

The situation worsened after miscreants attacked in MP Rebati Tripura’s home and the MP directly blamed IPFT for that.

Local people said, the miscreants came with Tipraland slogan and on Friday night started violence allover, broke vehicles and properties and at last in attempt of killing the newly elected MP they rushed to his home and attacked the innocent family members in his absence. Two BJP workers who were in Rebati Tripura’s hime were injured and one admitted in GB.

However, Government of Tripura (BJP-IPFT) jointly didn’t give any statement yet.

This problem erupted when state is suffering from massive malaria outbreak problems and many more problems like water-crisis.

Also nothing was briefed by police department yet, but the situation has developed in last 24 hours.

Centering the upcoming local body election this problem may have erupted. In Lok Sabha Election IPFT dropped in the fourth position after BJP, Congress, CPI-M.

All political parties have called for peace.
