AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): Govt of Tripura has announced to start paddy procurement at MSP of Rs. 1750 from June 10.

Minister Pranajit Singha Roy will launch the programme at Udaipur Matabari.

A farmer can sell up to 2 quintal of food grain, an official said.

Govt has targeted 10,000 matric ton food grains’ buying which likely to cost 2 crores 25 thousand, said Food Minister Manoj Kanti Deb.

Govt started this practice since 2018 aimed to stable the farmers’ economic condition. Report says that food grains’ quality in ration shops has developed.
