AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): Mangaleswari Debbarma, wife of Tripura former Chief Minister Dasarath Deb also a visionary Communist leader has passed away today.

Her body was brought in Melarmath headquarter of CPI-M at night 9.45 pm. Comrades broke down in tears while paying her the last tribute. Statewide political leaders have paid tribute to the visionary communist leader. She was also a great woman activist. Dasharath Deb was a political leader in the Indian state of Tripura.He was chief minister of Tripura from 1993 to 1998.He was a leader of the Ganamukti Parishad and the Communist Party of India. He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1952, 1957, 1962 and 1971 from Tripura East constituency.
