AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): Two persons have been arrested in Tripura under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) today.

The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, commonly referred to as the NDPS Act, is an Act of the Parliament of India that prohibits a person to produce/manufacture/cultivate, possess, sell, purchase, transport, store, and/or consume any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance.

The two arrested persons are : 1) Suman Debbarma, S/O-Ajit Debbarma, 2)Amarjit Debbarma, S/O-Balaram Debbarma resident of DC Para under Bodhjungnagar PS.

Total 80 boxes of brown sugar were seized from them under OC-Subrata Barman.
