UDAIPUR (Tripura), June 4 (TIWN): One Babaji also called Maharaj ji (a hindu priest) has been jailed for 5 years for assaulting many minor girls in Udaipur, Gomati District of Tripura.

The incident took place at Kakrabon in Udaipur subdivision at the Asram named “Alor Dishari”.

The culprit has identified as Nilkrishna Roy who has sent to jail and also court charged him Rs. 30,000.

For years, the Babaji was assaulting various girls but due to lack of enough evidence a section of people who wanted to expose, could not caught him.

At last two minor girls had complained to Pranab Das, the house father of the Asram. On Govt side, the petitioners were represented by Special PP Paltu Das.
