AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, June 2 (TIWN): Miserable condition of lives was reported from Tripura and tension prevails centering the removal of Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman from the cabinet. It has been informed that local cable channels are unable to function properly as in maximum areas cable connectivity remained cut since Barman’s removal. At the same time, Sudip Barman has also expressed frustrations, resentments on the Government alleging as soon as he was sacked from the cabinet, police were deployed across his constituency. Sudip Barman reacting over the police deployment said, “Am I such a person who will create turmoil over a Govt decision ? At least I am not so cheap. Rather, in coming days also, I will be working for the people and always I will protest against what is wrong”. In an official notification vide No.F.3(1)-GA(CAB)/2018 dated 31/05/2019 issued by I/CChief Secretary,Ic Alok Kumar (just leaked) it is stated that Shri Sudip Roy Barman ceases to be the minister in the Cabinet.

The portfolios held by Barman will now be jointly held by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb(PWD) and Dy. CM Jishnu Devbarma(Science,Technology & Environment). 

The ex-Minister Sudip Roy Barman has joined BJP on 7th April, 2017 in the presence of national BJP leaders and shared a same dais to unseat the then Communist Government.

He joined BJP with 6 MLAs and huge numbers of voters which led the Assembly Election 100%  benefited for the BJP.

Within 14 months of a Govt, bold decision of the Biplab Deb Govt has created turmoil and ushered also hope in Congress to get more strength as Tripura BJP till day is standing on Ex-Congress supporter’s foundation.

Recently regarding a doctor assaulting case, tension between Chief Minister Biplab Deb and ex-Health Minister Sudip Barman increased when Barman came in controversy after criticizing the BJP Govt and CM’s Home Dept.

After the termination, being asked by media, Sudip Barman said that he will leave his Govt quarter on Monday as according to his religious faith he can not leave the home on Sunday.
