AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, June 1 (TIWN): Tripura former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Saturday said that the poor result of CPI-M in Lok Sabha Election 2019, will not at all affect the party for the next Assembly Election, which will be held after 3.5 years.

Manik Sarkar was addressing in a party programme at Sonamura on Saturday when he said so,

According to the analysis of Manik Sarkar, a section of CPI-M supporters thought that it will help to unseat BJP at Centre if they vote for Congress.

A section of CPI-M voters thought that CPI-M will not come in power at Centre and as anti-BJP it was only Congress party as the option in the voters’ mind for defeating BJP.

However, Sarkar has termed it as a mistake and said, CPI-M could not clear the confusion of voters’ mind.

He further criticized the party-organizational status of CPI-M but inspired the CPI-M workers throughout his speech to go to the people and gain public trust for the party again.
