KAMALPUR, March 30 (TIWN) Display of muscle power and vandalism instigated by BJP Kamalpur Mandal General Secretary Dipti Rakshit has created much agony for rank and file even on Sunday as the protesting drivers have not let the vehicles ply on road till noon.

On Saturday, the BJP Mandal General Secretary Dipti Rakshit alongwith her aides have assaulted drivers and even some passengers as a driver has denied to carry them to Amit Shah's Pristha Pramukh conference at Vivekananda ground even after accepting the booking. Then they have locked the terminus with chain. Later they have blocked road at Halhali area. As a result, the agitated and humiated drivers have decided not to drive vehicles on road. And till mid day, no passenger vehicle has moved on the road on Kamalpur-Ambassa road and Kamalpur-Agartala road. However, later the situation has turned a bit normal after BJP District members Goutam Biswas, Paritosh Pal and BMS leader Manik Sutradhar.

It has also revealed that, the several drivers have not got the payments of the several party trips which has been the responsibility of Mandal President Prashanta Sinha and Kisan Morcha Mandal President Pintu Sharma. Local people have been demanding the strict intervention of the Minister Manoj Kanti Deb into the entire matter
