AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): Connection of police’s illegal activity with BJP General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik has been exposed once again. To disrupt CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad Dutta’s election campaigning two top CPI-M leaders of Mohonpur Swapan Nag, Swapan Deb were arrested by NCC Police on yesterday night and till 3 pm today both of them have not been produced before the court.Shankar Prasad Dutta is now the rival of Pratima Bhowmik in Lok Sabha Election.
Police is trying to associate both the leaders with fabricated cases.
Addressing live, CPI-M State General Secretary Gautam Das said, “Neither police is producing them before the court, nor releasing”.
The OC of NCC PS is Kanti Ghosh. CPI-M has requested the Election Commission to suspend the OC immediately.
