AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): Like local body polls held in Tripura in last 1 year, the Lok Sabha Election is also turning violent and attacks on common men are going on day night restlessly. Even after requesting the Election Commission of India again and again, the Commission has failed to secure the people of Tripura in the true sense. Across the state violent attacks are going on since 3 days with no development. It can be noted here, the level of terror in last local body polls was to that extend that in the last Municipal Election, one candidate from Amra Bangali Party had to climb up a tree to hide himself from BJP’s attack at his home but this time also the situation specially in West Tripura becoming more and more critical, because the West Tripura’s candidate is none other than BJP General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik, known as “Crime Queen” who has been accused of her own brother Biswajit Bhowmik’s wife’s murder. Yesterday under Pratima Bhowmik’s instruction, her brother Biswajit Bhowmik have beaten one CPI-M leader Bhajan Bhowmik which has generated terror across Dhanpur.On the other side, in Kamalpur as soon as CPI-M open its party office after 1 year of forceful shutdown by BJP, the BJP hooligans going house to house are attacking opposition leaders, vandalizing houses.

CPI-M activist Bhajan Bhowmik was beaten to serious injuries at Dhanpur by BJP General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik (West Tripura candidate). Pratima Bhowmik’s brother Biswajit Bhowmik was seen directly involved in that attack. Even after complaining Election Commission of India again and again, why such violence are going on in unstoppable manner has triggered resentment. At the same time terror situation continues in Dhanpur by Pratima Bhowmik led hooligans.During a religious programme, CPI-M activist Bhajan Bhowmik went to market. Seeing him in the market, Biswajit Bhowmik and other BJP hooligans openly had beaten him.According to the locals, Billu Bhowmik, Subash Bhowmik were also present with Pratima Bhowmik’s brother Biswajit Bhowmik.

On Sunday, at least four violent attacks took place on CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad Dutta in an organized manner from Jirania to Bisramganj and footage of that attack have been viral, where it was seen BJP hooligans are beating the opposition by stretching them from vehicle and also footage have show in Gandhigram in front of police the hooligans are beating opposition.

In this condition, whether the law and order will be better in coming days or not, it has left up to the seriousness of Election Commission of India.
