Reacting over Rahul Gandhi’s warning of Congress Govt formation in 2019, Biplab Deb addressing Rahul Gandhi “Babu” said, “How would you form a Govt here ? Not a single Congress MLA you have”. Biplab also dumbly said, Tripura Congress leaders were resented against Congress High Command after Congress High Command didn’t help Tripura Congress. In Tripura maximum BJP MLAs are former Congress leaders who joined BJP and made BJP’s win possible in 2018, whereas now again landslide began in BJP as top leaders have joined Congress and Congress has challenged it will make a Govt in Tripura after Lok Sabha election. Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has declared on Wednesday that Congress shortly will get a Govt in Tripura.Just on March 19, 2019 at Khumlung rally.Biplab Deb's comment however also revealed his tension.

After May 23 Lok Sabha Election results announcement, Tripura BJPs 31 to 33 MLAs (total 36 BJP MLAs) will reject Biplab Deb’s leadership, will select Sudip Roy Barman as next Chief Minister, also majority of MLAs will change their allegiance to Congress Party in Assembly officially.
