AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): Tripura Police have detained one Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) terrorist named Nazir Sheikh (25).

While briefing, Tripura DGP A K Shukla said that Sheikh is a resident of Mushishabad, West Bengal, connected with JMB organization.

“Via sources, we knew that the man is trained in Improvised Explosive Devices (IED). JMB did various terror activities in Bangladesh as well as in India”, DGP said.

JMB also planned for blasting three IEDs at Bodhgaya during the Dalai Lama’s visit to Bihar in January 2018, but fortunately it could be detected.
