AGARTALA, September 18 (TIWN): The English saying “Sky is the Limit” is being depicted in the uprising graph of crimes against women, here in Tripura. By now, the state has added a feather to its crown in the name of most women related crimes prone state in country. Though the administration has initiated a round the clock helpline (1091) for the women in distress but the offenders are still daring not to abide by the laws.

Alongwith the domestic violence, the women do not seem to be safe in their workplace too. A subordinate women employee was sexually harassed by Deputy Director of Gurkhabasti Audit Directorate. Bhanu Lodh, one of the senior officials of the said office is reported to have attempted sexual assault on a Group-D women employee, this noon. The official also acts as State Public Information Officer (SPIO), in the said office. Furthermore, when the media personnel went to cover the incident the officer attacked them and ransacked the photo journalists.

On the contrary, one of the TIWN sources reported that as the sources report the concerned women employee was not obeying the orders of the officer in news and as Mr. Lodh is known to be strict officer, he just acted in a harsh way with the women with not having any intention of sexual harassment. However, the women employee has filed a complaint in the employees union against Mr. Lodh.
