AGARTALA, Aug 29 (TIWN): Being promised about Diamond Era, BJP came in power for five years, but within 6 months of the Govt, people are bound to go in hunger strike to survive.

The terminated contractual employees of the Forest Dept have gone in Hunger Strike since yesterday in the office premise. Being asked by media, the employees said they will not move from there unless and until they get their jobs back.

Total 363 employees earlier had protested to be regularized from Forest Dept but among them 350 were regularized but 13 contractual of Forest Dept have been terminated recently under the BJP Govt and among those 13 employees there are many senior employees who were victimized due to ‘other’ reason. In total 35 numbers of employees are left jobless without any reason.

With this resentment, the jobless people have staged a protest and also started hunger strike demanding Justice for them in the office of Forest Dept. PCCF Dr. Alind Rastogi, IFS talked to the victims promising that he will surely talk to the Chief Minister about their problems but he needs at least a week to come to a decision.

Moreover since 8 months the employees are not getting salaries which has created much problems for them to run their family.
