AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): Ashes of India’s Ex-Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee who breathed his last on August 16 have been immersed in Tripura rivers as a part of “Atal Kalash Yatra".
At Agartala in Dasamighat the immersion was done led by Chief Minister Biplab Deb.
Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Minister Sudip Barman, Minister Ratan Lal Nath, BJP leaders as Pratima Bhowmik, Rajib Bhattacharjee led rally from Rabindra Bhawan and the rally ended at Dasmighat.
Also the CM has prayed for Atal Bihari Vajpayee's soul's peace during the 'jogyo' at Amtali where he attended.
Even though Vajpeyee’s soul has been already resting in peace with Haridwar final ritual where his family members immersed the ashes of him in Ganga river but it was decided by BJP Central leaders to continue the ritual across Indian states and the duty for it was taken by BJP units of each state.
Today, the ashes has been immersed in rivers of 8 districts of Tripura.
