AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): Nursery school children have tried Rakhi to Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Sunday.
After Biplab Deb became the CM, this is the first Rakhi-celebration in CM's quarter. Along with students, teachers were also present to assist them.
Rakhi Bandhan was celebrated in state Tripura with full of enthusiasm. In the morning children like every year tied Rakhi to the citizens.
Political parties have also celebrated this auspicious occasion in their own ways.
Raksha Bandhan, also Rakshabandhan, or simply Rakhi, is an annual rite in South Asia, or among people of South Asian origin, centred around the tying of a thread, talisman, or amulet on the wrist as a form of ritual protection.
