AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): While departure, Tripura Ex-Governor Tathagata Roy on Saturday has been unbiased while delivering his address to the state.According to Roy the previous Govt (under CPI-M) and the present Govt (under BJP) both were active and that's why he never had to jump in action. "Indeed State Tripura never had undergone so much critical situation where a Governor had to play the main role", Roy said. "Governor is like the diesel generator of a marriage-house, who works under emergency situation. But in Tripura I never faced such situation", Roy told media at Raj Bhawan. "Previous and Present both Govts have worked in their best under the Constitution. I thank to all, who have helped me in last three years and also the officials of the state", Roy said further praising the employees of Raj Bhawan saying they took care of his wife amid her critical conditions.
Dr. Tathagata Roy, is an Indian politician, engineer, former professor of Construction Engineering at Jadavpur University and an author.
CM Biplab Deb, Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma and other Ministers, State Officials were present when Roy left the Raj Bhawan.
"Just relinquished governorship of Tripura. On the way to Shillong to be sworn in as Governor of Meghalaya", Roy tweeted after departure.
