AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): Once again Chief Minister Biplab Deb has sparked controversy comparing him with B R Ambedkar, Narendra Modi and others who derived from poor families like 'him'.

CM was addressing in a programme of the felicitation of students who are going to study in other states, when he said so.

"Poor families children also have talents, otherwise how talents would come out from those families ?"

"If talents were not existing in poor families, how BR Ambedkar did write the constitution? How did Narendra Modi become the Prime Minister? How am I standing here?", Biplab Deb told students.

Daily newspapers and oppositions have mocked CM's self-boasting.
