AGARTALA, Aug 19 (TIWN): Brutal ragging episodes were disclosed from B.R. Ambedkar Hostel in Agartala after a group of students have filed complaints in the local police station.How in a renowned hostel such incidents have taken place it has triggered question. The complainers said that even after telling the Hostel Super no action was taken against the senior students who are running the ragging inside the hostel since years. The hostel is reserved for backward cast school students.The junior students on 15th August went on the roof of the hostel in study hours and the senior students found them there. After that they started physical tortures upon the junior students and by breaking tube light they hit one student. Another student was beaten on his hand heavily.The guardians said, this is not a new thing but after beating they threaten the junior students not to inform anything to the hostel super or guardian. The two senior students against whome allegations came are : 1) Rajesh Kar (Class-11), 2) Paresh Das (Class-12).The Hostel Super accepted that the boys inside the hostel do not bother to listen to him and continue to do as they wish. The incident has fueled heavy resentment against the authority.

The senior student Rajesh Kar also accepted that he has beaten his juniour student.
