AGARTALA, Aug 18 (TIWN): East Agartala Police team led by OC Debashis Saha in a major breakthrough seized drug haul of 42 grams Brown Sugar, Heroin worth Rs 4.20 lakhs (Brown Sugar market rate Rs 1 crore/kg) from Volcan Club area, Banamalipur from Drug Smuggler Avijit Ghosh, son of Haradhan Ghosh. Banamalipur is also Chief Minister Biplab Deb's Assembly constituency and high crime rate, drug business exposed Tripura's lawless Era. Frequent murders, rampant drug smuggling, Police raids indicate Tripura’s disastrous situation against organized narcotics smuggling gangs. Police machinery only could crack a faction of over approx over Rs 3000 crores/year organized drug smuggling racket operating from Myanmar, Bangladesh to North East India via Tripura as transit hub for drug cartels. Law and order which had been totally destroyed by CPI-M is still paralyzed as State Police Intelligence failed to improve in BJP era.

Amid boasting about Police mobile vans inauguration and activation of 100 number, murders, shootings have become rampant in the recent days. In past 4 months of BJP rule, Tripura withnessed 45 murders, 264 thefts as per Police data.

One after one shoot out cases are coming out but police till day remained so far unsuccessful to curb crimes. Supari styles killing have recently spiked in BJP era, one is cutting one’s throat in Talibani model, another is shoot out and Biswajit’s brutal murder has been a part of the second one.

Unfortunately, following Manik Sarkar’s path, BJP Chief Minister Biplab Deb even though boasted long claims for BJP Govt's success  but failed to accept  law and order’s failure under his Home Ministry. 

Even after BJP activist Biswajit Pal was killed brutally, Chief Minister yet to condemn openly, neither announced Rs 5 lakhs compensation like he ordered after BJP activist's murder in Kerala.

On June 21,2018 West District police have seized huge numbers of phensedyl bottles from a house in Agartala.On June 10,2018  Sonamura police have seized huge numbers of phensedyl bottles worth Rs. 30,000. On June 1,2018 Phensydyl  bottles were recovered from near Gandhigram school.On June 21, Police in yesterday night recovered 100 kilo of ganja from deep jungles of Baramura in Chandrapur shoot-out case. On June 20, One ganja smuggler has been arrested from Anandanagar, under Sonamura subdivision.

But after such frequent drives not even 1% of the whole drug smuggling racket could be identified by police. Till day 9 km border fencing at Sonamura could be completed which was unfenced since CPI-M era led by smuggler organizations under.

On May 6,2018 with a shocking development 12400 yaba tablets were recovered from his house along with other kinds of drugs at Sonamura. The market price of the tablets will be at least Rs. 50 lakhs, but this was not a new trend which developed but drug is present in each cell of the society.

On Saturday June 23, 2018 midnight named Biswajit Pal, S/O-Naresh Chandra Pal killed  in a gunshot allegedly by his friend Pranjit Bhowmik, has shocked the capital city.

The incident took place within 1 week of Chandrpur shoot out case which led one Debabrata Dasgupta injured. The whole incident in Chandrpur shoot out case was said linked with ganja smuggling, whereas Biswajit’s case have left knowing the actual case.

On June 6,2018 brutal murder of Raju Lal Das had hit the Capital City Agartala. His body was found with severe injuries at Bholagiri area, where in a little shed he used to live.A local sharp weapon (Da) was recovered with his dead body. Police is investigating the case. 

On June 10, 2018 again a brutal murder of a 65 years old woman Parul Bala Roy had came out. In a nearby jungle her body was found totally burnt and her face left identifiable.

Opposition CPI-M’s four supporters were killed including Panisagar’s Tapas Sutradhar was killed in Talibani style by cutting his neck brutally on June 17 night.

Another old couple who were residing in rent at Sunirmal Chandra Das's house named Chanu Saha (75), Mahamaya Saha (60) were allegedly murdered on Friday  night.

Open shootings regardless day/night have turned the evenings in capital city Agartala as nightmare for common citizens.  Already major section of electorates who voted for BJP now comparing 3 months rule with Congress Lawless era 1989-1993.

Question raises why so much of influx of guns in Agartala and rest of Tripura by various narcotics smuggling gangs ? Most of these murders are being committed by organized drug mafia, also ex-CPI-M mafias who now joined BJP like Bishwajit Pal's killer Pranjit Bhowmik who migrated from CPI-M to BJP ?

Tripura Police lacks intelligence network as 'President Color recipient force' was cut down to size to petty CPI-M agents by none other than CBI chargesheeted Thief cum former DGP K. Nagraj, who was Manik Sarkar's number one trusted man. 

In BJP era, same CPI-M's smugglers all now turned followers of  Saffron party so massive drug smugglings continue in spite of good work by a section of Police Officials.
