AGARTALA, Aug 12 (TIWN): Laxmi Narayan Bari loot case was unearthed but many more left to be solved, but the night duties of city cops are leading everyday thefts on the heart of capital city.
It’s not that under the previous CPI-M Govt theft cases were unknown even, but since then to today theft cases have remained as everyday issues in the capital city Agartala.
No major development has come after 5 months of the Govt formation here.
The reason is unknown, but thieves are dominating Agartala city in each night. Instead urgently installing CCTV cameras across the City and drawing funds from centre for modernizing policing, Chief Minister’s Delhi visit has so far concerned with other issues.
One more theft case has hit the capital city on Saturday after hefty of cashes were taken away by thieves from a shop in Paradize Chowmuhani, Agartala, but in such a prominent location how thieves can dominate the night hours it’s under big question mark.
SDPO Suman Majumder however told media, police is active and no thief can save ownself.
According to Tripura Police’s website total 45 murders, 237 theft cases, 94 violence, 94 attacks upon a group occurred in last 4 months (except July month).
