UDAIPUR, Aug 9 (TIWN): Along with nation and statewide protest, the Jail Bharo Andolon was also conducted at Udaipur subdivision under Gomati District.
With 6 demands related to farmers the protest was held which includes loan waiver and farmers pension scheme etc.
The rally started from Udaipur party office led by Ex-Minister Ratan Bhowmik, Ex-Minister Keshab Majumder Ex-MLA Madhab Saha and others at around 12 O’clock.
After total 200 activists were arrested they were kept in Town Hall which was made as a temporary jail.
The arrest was held when they (CPI-M activists) had crossed the second barricade at there. However, police later had released all of them.
The agitation and rally were ended peacefully amid tight security led by SP A R Reddy, SDPO Himadri Das.
