AGARTALA, Aug 7 (TIWN): AD Nagar Police have arrested 9 persons in connection with illegal Cough Syrup manufacturing at Agartala.

The main culprit Subir Majumder (Abu) S/O-Lt Surya Majumder along with his eight staffs were arrested from Mission Road of Saha Para in AD Nagar. The factory of the cough syrup was also sealed.

The drive was led by SDPO Ajay Kumar Das. 

Getting informed by secret sources police raided the godown and SDPO said that various raw materials were also found from that factory. 

Talking to media, the SDPO said that since many days police was known to the issue but the exact location could be spotted today and immediately getting information police have raided the factory, which is located behind the house of Subir majumder. 

Police is now interrogating 9 of them to crack down the whole network.
