AGARTALA, Aug 7 (TIWN): CPI-M's wings All India Kishan Sabha (AIKS), All India Agricultural Worker (AIAW), Tripura Rajya Upajati Ganamukti Parishad (GMP) have written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In the letter CPI-M raised few demands. Their demands are :
1) Complete liberation from all kinds of debts for toiling peasants and agricultural workers,
2) Ensure legal guarantee of MSP of one and a half times the cost of production for all agricultural produce as recommended by Swaminathan Commission and reduction in input costs,
3) Immediate vesting of land in the name of tillers and implementation of the Forest Right Act,
4) Pension of Rs. 5,000 per month to all agricultural workers, poor and middle peasants,
5) Implementation of pro-farmer Comprehensive Crop Insurance Scheme covering all crop and income losses and ensure Family Health Insurance as well as Insurance for Animals,
6) Restore democratic and fundamental rights of the people of Tripura.
