AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Amid criticisms are going on about AIIMS hospital's future possibilities in Tripura, Transport Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said that AIIMS will be here in Tripura within next 2 to 3 years.
"AIIMS like hospital will be in Tripura and it's not so far, when it will happen in reality. When a person meets accident whether his/her family members have money or not, it doesn't matter but even at the cost of selling house and properties they are bound to fly outside for treatment", Roy said.
"Thus in cabinet, we have decided to bring a neurosurgeon in Tripura. We decided that Rs. 3 lakh will be paid to the Doctor and the Anesthetist will be paid Rs. 2 lakh, so that we don't need to send our patients to outside, but at the cost of Rs. 3 lakh per month also no doctor is interested to come here. Now, Govt thinking to raise the offers". Criticizing the previous Govt, Roy said, "Such a Golden era was given to the people that nobody dares to step in this state".
Talking about 7th Pay Commission issue, the Minister said, "In the first cabinet meeting we decided that 7th Pay Commission will be given and Govt is working in that direction. It's true that we could not place the report in 100 days but there are many issues going on regarding the implementation. However, there is no doubt that 7th Pay Commission will be given to the employees".
