AGARTALA, Aug 5 (TIWN): When BJP led state govt is postponing the regularization issue of the contractual employees of the teachers, Tripura Health Minister Sudip Barman said, “Quality Education is impossible unless and until teachers futures are secured”. “In comparison to other depts., Education Dept comes in the first row of regularization priority; as unless and until the teachers are happy and assured about their job security, they can not concentrate in work”. "Teachers' regularization and how to save their lives are our everyday discussion issue. In each cabinet meeting, discussions are going on about how to regularize employees like you and 10323 teachers. It's true in teaching profession, quality can not exist unless the Teachers are in peace and their careers are safe", he said. “We are not at all in revengeful politics like the previous Govt (CPI-M). In 1993, huge numbers of the irregular employees in various Dept were terminated regardless AMC, Forest Dept, Forest Dept after the Govt was changed".

"The 10323 teachers were also recruited under a particular Govt. If the present had thought like the previous Govt, then it could terminate all 10323 teachers. But we don't want to walk in that direction, neither we believe in revenge. Regardless political identity all should be treated".

"Education Dept is such a crucial dept which need to ensure teachers satisfaction. Unless and untill teachers are satisfied, they can not give their full efforts in work. Quality Education can also never come if uncertainity remains", Barman added.

Barman was addressing SSA teachers where they had gathered with the demand of regularization. The programme has been conducted in remembrance of the 7 days long Hunger Strike led by the SSA teachers in 2017. They observed the Hunger Strike since August 1st to August 7, 2017.

Sudip Barman also urged the central govt to regularize the SSA employees.
