UDAIPUR / AGARTALA, Aug 4 (TIWN): Above 200 TET qualified teachers have gathered in Udaipur Municipality Office's conference hall on Saturday with demand of regularization and withdrawal of fixed pay scale due to which each state govt employee has to suffer for first 5 years of his / her job career. The conference was attended by Shital Majumder, BJP Gomati District Vice President. While addressing, he said that Govt is sympathetic towards them and working in that direction. At the same time, the BJP leader also strongly criticized the previous CPI-M govt for inventing "fixed" scale system for employees. The teachers have further demanded their regularization since their jobs beginning month and to mitigate all the arrears. Even after TET qualification, the teachers were appointed in various schools at fixed pay scale which has generated mass anger among the qualified teachers.

But the practice of "fixed scale", which had started since CPI-M Govt's time and till now  is continuing and they were not regularized yet.

Whereas across the country TET qualifiers are getting regular pay scale, in maximum states with full benefits of 7th pay commission, but in Tripura teachers even after qualified in TET are getting fixed pay basis salaries resulted huge resentment among the qualified teachers.

According to the teachers, for Education Quality the teachers had to pass Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), but after passing TET the teachers are getting very poor salary per month, when 100 % salary is paid by the Central Govt.
