MPs from Non/BJP parties will visit Tripura to check ‘Farmers Conditions’ under BJP Govt : CPI-M

AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): Swabhimani Pakhsha Party MP and CPI-M MP K.K. Ragesh will be visiting Tripura aimed to check the conditions of farmers at here. In a press conference Khet Mazdoor union top leader Narayan Kar has announced that. There will be two teams who make visit in various parts of the state, to inspect the condition of the farmers and other issues of the state On July 4th morning, one team led by Swabhimani Pakhsha Party MP Raju Shetthy will leave for Gandacherra-Ambassa-Barmura-Jirania,-Teliamura areas for a two days visit. Another team led by CPI-M MP K.K. Ragesh will visit Boxonaga, Sonamura, Belonia and also there will be report taken about the minorities condition. Before departure from Tripura, both the leaders will address media about their experiences in state.

These issues also will be highlighted in Parliament. Addressing in a press meet at Agartala Khet Mazdoor President Narayna Kar said, “Farmers in Tripura are left in very pathetic condition. 

Various cabinet meetings were held since the Govt formation, but no discussion had taken place regarding the flood related losses which the farmers had faced recently”.

“Massive crop damages were reported from this flood, but even though Prime Minister Narendra Modi often talks about farmers in Mann Ki Baat and Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb also claims to double farmers' incomes but this year the farmers haven’t got the premium even, neither they were facilitated with flood lashed crop damage losses”, he said.

“CPI-M Govt had started an SRI scheme for the farmers which  was praised nation-wide. Under that scheme each farmer got various items and little amount of money for their Agriculture purpose, but the BJP Govt hasn’t taken any initiative to continue it”, Narayan Kar added.

“Various issues as bio-metric, E-rationing are depriving poors from their food rights. MGNREGA works have been stopped. In overall rural economy is on the verge of destruction. Farmers are helpless”, he said.

The CPI-M will also launch a protest on August 9 with farmers’ rights and 8 more issues.
