AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): Tripura BJP’s infighting bared open after State In-charge Sunil Deodhar’s elevation as BJP National Secretary with additional co-Incharge of Andhra Pradesh apart from full charge of Tripura. As per complaints from various senior BJP leaders, Biplab Deb’s various wrong undemocratic steps and power tussle preventing BJP State President’s selection already generated rifts between Sunil Deodhar and Biplab Deb. Biplab Deb’s failure to publish BJP Govt’s 100 Days report card, wrongly propagating his own name as State BJP President from Imphal without Party’s approval, arrogant style of functioning inside BJP Party already alienated majority of BJP leaders. It’s a well known fact that Sunil Deodhar is the BJP’s flagship leader in Tripura, without Deodhar BJP could never win this tough battle against CPI-M. Due to Deodhar’s success, BJP President Amit Shah promoted Tripura BJP Chief as National Secretary, assigned as co-incharge of Andhra Pradesh, apart from full in-charge of Tripura.

Since 2 days Tripura BJP’s Social Media operators close to Chief Minister Biplab Deb propagating a false propaganda that Sunil Deodhar was removed from Tripura by Amit Shah and Biplab Deb is in full charge of BJP Party in State.

However as per BJP's official press release, Sunil Deodhar is appointed as BJP National Secretary, Tripura Prabhari (In-charge of Tripura) and additional Co-Incharge given for Andhra Pradesh

On July 30, 2018 Sunil Deodhar wrote the official message :

"Thanks in tons to Shri Amit Shah Ji ,Shri Narendra Modi Ji for showing trust in me and appointing as the National Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) In addition to BJP Tripura State Incharge I have been entrusted as State Co-Incharge of BJP Andhra Pradesh today
I will fulfill my new responsibilities with full dedication and commitment. I need your blessings and cooperation. Thanks A Lot !
Vande Mataram ! "

Immediately from July 30,2018 to fool Tripura's BJP supporters - Biplab Deb's social media operators like Russel Sinha to many others started propagating Sunil Deodhar's Departure from Tripura Politics, also rejoicing Sunil Deodhar's political defeat as Biplab Deb to continue as BJP President.

Same group of BJP media people also had spread a false information 2 weeks back that Sunil Deodhar likely to contest Lok Sabha Election from Tripura.

TIWN spoke with BJP's senior leaders and found that in June 30,2018's Amit Shah's meeting at Imphal, there was no such declaration like 'Biplab Deb to continue as BJP State President till Lok Sabha Election'. That's false propaganda spread by Biplab camp as they are afraid to lose grip over Party in Tripura.

As a Chief Minister,  Biplab Deb's various wrong decisions and appointments ranging from CPI-M spy corrupt OSD Dilip Roy to nationally tainted Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar, failure to publish 100 days report card in spite of promising to Tripura Public and BJP National President Amit Shah, endless saga of gaffes only showing the immaturity.

Biplab Deb’s tussle with Sunil Deodhar reported by various national media outlets including Hindustan Times on Thursday, May 3,2018. “As in-charge of the state, Deodhar wants to have say in Tripura. As chief minister, Deb wants to be in total command. The problem lies here,” this person said. This has also resulted in uncharacteristic behaviour, according to the second leader. For instance, Deodhar has started taking part in private events such as the inauguration of an automobile showroom in Agartala last week, this person added — a move that did not find favour with BJP top brass in the state and Delhi.

Deodhar was missing from the BJP’s state executive committee meeting in Tripura during April, and also skipped a workers conference in Agartala on Tuesday (May 1,2018)", Hindustan Times reported. "A call to the Chief Minister’s office for a reaction to this story did not elicit a response”, Hindustan Times further reported on Thursay.

Unless BJP Tripura conduct a democratic Party President selection rather than destroying party's voter base further by instigating narrow group politics, it would be tough contest against CPI-M in Lok Sabha Polls.
