AGARTALA, July 26 (TIWN): Viral demand of BJP MLA from Telangana T Raja Singh Lodh for ‘Cow as Rashtra Mata’ has pushed Tripura netizens to find out ‘Rashtra-Pita’ for them and maximum supports went for Oxen or Bulls.

Many jokes have been posted in social media after the news was posted as “Smart city Agartala is developing roads where only cow can walk”, “Then Rastra pita is Ox or Bull, not Mahatma Gandhi anymore”.

Other jokes came as “Cow mutra... now they will say drinking cow pee will make you healthy, pure Hindu and pure Indian... good job BJP”, “And "bolod"" as rastra pita”.

The “war for gau raksha” (cow protection) and incident of lynchings will not stop till the time cow receives the status of “Rashtra Mata” (Mother of the Nation), a BJP MLA from Telangana T Raja Singh Lodh said on Sunday in a video message posted on a social networking website, Indian Express reported.

Known for his controversial remarks, Singh urged MPs to demand this in Parliament and said that he does not want “khoon-kharaba” (bloodletting) on the issue. “Till cow is not accorded the status of ‘Rashtra Mata’, I feel the war for ‘gau raksha’ will not stop even if ‘gau rakshaks’ (cow protectors) are put into jails or bullets are fired at them,” Singh said.
