AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): Forest Minister Mebar Kumar Jamatia has called for massive forestation on Monday.

The Minister was attending a programme at Agartala Gorkha Basti area, organized by Tripura Senior Citizens and Pensioners Sangha.

Mebar Kumar Jamatia has planted trees at there along with other Govt officials.

Addressing in the Vanomohotsav programme, Jamatia said, “All the people in Tripura should engage in massive plantation. Across houses trees should be planted with full enthusiasm".

"Tripura has forest areas but to control the increasing pollution and temperature of the globe, massive forestation is needed”, he added.
