UDAIPUR, July 22 (TIWN): BJP Govt’s promises and service delivery being spotted in Hospitals. When patients parties lose temper following the unexpected death of patients, then nurses, doctors come heavily upon the patient party. Recently after attacking doctors patient parties were also arrested in some cases after they vandalized hospitals following the deaths of the patients. But in case of free medicine, the Hospital authority yet to take any liability whereas the same medicines are available in nearby shops. Poor people are the highest victims of such deprivations. It has been alleged, after repeated instruction was given by govt, still Free Medicine has not been providing by Gomati District hospital, Udaipur . As a result, poor are suffering a lot and if someone asked for free medicine, reply is it is “not available”.Recently Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman had instructed that if medicine was not available in hospital then money will be given to the patients but here Noting is happening instead saying “not available”.

State is dreaming for AIIMS like hospital in state but what about the poor people who are even unable to buy medicines ? Generic medicines have been totally unhelpful till day at Gomati District.

Health Minister Sudip Barman's frequent surprise GO hospital visits are haunting the careless health dept staffs and now the condition of GB hospital is in progress. But another neglected area which TIWN have found out, is the "Medicine Scams" and recommendation of medicines by high-profiled doctors in their private chambers. Tripura's many high profiled doctors who are openly in private business of 'treatment' are forcing a single patient to take even above 15 medicines in a day. Even though the patient parties feel it abnormal or sometimes the patient become physically and mentally ill due to the too much of medicine, but nobody is above than Doctors to suggest. Hardly patient parties can go from one doctor to another but beyond doctor's prescriptions the common men have no words.

Those medicines are often available in medical shops set in front of the chambers of the Doctors.

Apart from the middle class and rich patients, another one of the most crucial part of Tripura Health Service is that the poor people whose income are not more than Rs.3000 per months, are deprived of free medicines, which compels the poor men to die without medicines and it's happening everyday in Tripura. In Generic medicine centre years after years medical scams have been alleged, with excuse of 'unavailability of medicines'.

Unavailability of medicines push everyone to buy medicines from the shops in business in front of the District or sub-divisional hospitals. Now, question raises, how many poor people will die in this way ? Who will arrange free medicines for them ? Who will spread awareness among public, how to collect free medicines and if they don't get those free medicines to whom, they will complain ?

From the Doctors' side also there are lack of interest to spread such awareness or to push the govt for arranging free medicine for them.

The highest sufferers due to  the gap are those patients who need multiple medicines per day, whereas via Generic Medicine Centre such patients can buy medicines at very cheap price.

Not only this, private business bound many Doctors have spread rumours that Generic Medicines are not of good quality, but on Saturday.

It was on July 23, 2017 that Union Minister of Chemical & Fertilizers for State Mansukh Mandaviya confirmed that “not once but the Generic Medicines are tested twice and the price can not justify the quality of those drugs as the medicines service was launched to diminish the burden of the patient-party in the country”.

But hardly any doctor even in the govt hospital prescribes generic medicine for the patients, rather they send the patients to some particular shops to buy medicine, in exchange of commissions received from those shops, just as the doctors do with blood test, sugar test etc.
