AGARTALA, July 21 (TIWN): As BJP Govt even after four and half months of the Govt formation here in Tripura has been failed to fulfill a single promise which it had given to the 1.5 lakh Govt employees, poor and middle class people of the state before the Assembly Election, Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP), CPI-M’s tribal wing leader MP Jitendra Chaudhury has hit the BJP Govt on Saturday charging it for misusing the power of Centre and wasting moneys to win the Election. Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP) has organized a massive protest rally here in Agartala today demanding food and work in ADC and rural areas. While addressing in the gathering Jiten Chaudhury said, “Both BJP and IPFT even though were against each other but just to unseat the Left Govt from power had aligned and at extreme level the parties had misused the money and power of the Centre”.

"From Poor, Middle class to Teachers, Govt Employees all were fooled by the BJP ahead of the Assembly Election. Through Vision Document BJP,IPFT came in power with bundles of lies. Ahead of election such a situation was created by managing meetings among IPFT leaders and BJP top leaders of Centre including Prime Minister at Delhi that tribal people on hills started to believe that once BJP-IPFT Govt is in power they will get a separate state and no poverty will exist anymore in their lives, as if BJP-ruled states’ tribal people are so happy”, Jiten Choudhury added.

“In CPI-M’s time flood, terrorism attempts all used to happen but at least people never had to cross the border illegally in search of livelihood. People did not have to travel to Bangladesh by crossing the borders illegally and by breaking laws and protocols each day in search of food, wook. Today, border areas populated by tribals are being suffered from massive poverty”, Chaudhury added.

The MP further added referring CM Biplab Deb’s speech at Kharchi puja on Friday, “Chief Minister Biplab Deb has no work except blaming and slamming the previous Govt and only boasting BJP Govt with false propaganda of Democracy, whereas under BJP Govt just like Congress era Village Committee, Panchayat Election systems are trying to remove”.
