AGARTALA, July 21 (TIWN): Tripura’s one of the most popular daily newspaper Pratibadi Kalam which was forced to stop publication back in 2017 is all set to relaunch as the reason behind Govt's order to stop the newspaper has been spotted as 'unsatisfactory'.
of printers address, even though a printer’s address anytime can be changed according to RNI rules.
Milind Ramteke’s aggressive step was seen as an attack on free media and Press Council Appellate Board ordered to restore Pratibadi Kalam newspaper within next 2 weeks.
It was alleged that a deep conspiracy had worked behind stopping the newspaper. A section of rival media persons also expressed satisfaction and released various news mocking at the owner of the Newspaper Anal Roy Chouwdhury. One webmedia ( run by ex-convict Thief) also gave its news caption as ‘Anal Roy Chowdhury’s scandal-sheet closed'.
It was Pratibadi Kalam's group, who could publish the inside story of Airport and which political leaders are meeting whom. It was that paper which disclosed how arsenic is killing people mixed in Tripura's water and Pratibadi Kalam also showed Tripura Govt wrong calculation in latest pay-review. From smuggling to dangerous crimes all have been exposed by Pratibadi Kalam since many years.
Present Minister on that time as opposition leader Sudip Barman had slammed the administration alleging its conspiracy against media marking June 24 as the “Black Day in the History of Democracy”.
Press and Registration Appellate Board has allowed Pratibadi Kalam to appeal for affidavit with details of the new printer.
This has been a tight slap to the anti-democratic wing of the nation, which tried often to stop voice of media and to attack the fourth pillar of democracy.
