BISHALGARH / AGARTALA, July 21 (TIWN): One and only tiger has died at Sepahijala sanctuary of Tripura on Friday.
Since 20 days it was suffering from health problem.
The tiger named Dipu born at Chandigarh in 2003. In 2006 Dipu was brought in Sepahijala zoo.
In 2016 when Dipu’s friend Chili had died, Dipu was left as the last tiger her since over 2 years.
On June 30 the tiger fell sick and finally on Friday it had breathed its last.
The zoo officials told media, due to high temperature its health might had been downed and apart from that a tiger survives 15 years in average. However, no proper reason could be given behind the death of the tiger.
Before death, since 10 days Dipu didn’t eat anything, the officials said.
However, with its death Sepahijala left with no other tiger right now.
