AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): After BJP charged bribery allegation against murdered CPI-M leader Tapas Sutradhar, who was killed brutally on June 18 night at Panisagar, CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said, “We challenge that Tapas Sutradhar had a very clean image and also his bank accounts details will be shown shorty through his wife. Killed CPI-M leader Tapas Sutradhar’s wife herself will give statement and on behalf of CPI-M we are silent till her statement comes. This is nothing but an attempt to create an Anti-CPI-M sentiment among people at the cost of even life”. The CPI-M leader was killed on June 18 night which was condemned by CPI-M National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury on July 8 through official press conference. After that BJP leader Pratima Bhowmik said counterattacking Yechury that Tapas Sutradhar had taken huge amounts of bribes with job-promises and total 17 lakhs were recovered from his account.

Talking to TIWN, Bijan Dhar further mentioned, “Now they are saying 17 lakhs but first the BJP had alleged 50 lakhs of savings were found in his account”.

Dhar also condemned Bhowmik’s statement who had marked another deceased Rakesh Dhar  of Belonia as “suicide victim”, who was claimed by CPI-M as a “killed comrade”.

Bijan Dhar said, such attempts and promotion of suicide to hide murders has been continued since the beginning of BJP era.
